Biocast for Landscaping
A guide for using Biocast to enhance your landscaping project
Why Biocast?
Use Biocast during the establishment and post-planting care phases of landscaping projects to support project excellence.
The complex, all-natural compounds in Biocast stimulate growth of roots and shoots without force, giving the plant health and vigour. Use it to improve plant establishment, promote leaf fullness and gloss, promote flowering, and deter diseases. Astute clients will notice the feeling of vitality, and appreciate the use of a sustainable Australian product.
Biocast is appropriate for any landscape style, including native, waterwise, edible and classic gardens, and green wall and green roof instalments.
Biocast is a liquid vermicast biostimulant made on the NSW Mid North Coast using a slow, process-controlled system that optimises the benefits of the earthworm. It is made fresh to order and has at least one year shelf life when stored in a sheltered position.
Biocast:

- Contains broad spectrum probiotics to benefit plant and soil health

Directions for use
Plant establishment
Turf: 7 L/ha to water in the turf
Tubes and small pots: Immersion in a 20:1 water to Biocast solution until saturated on the day of planting. They can also be watered in post planting using 10 mL Biocast per plant plus adequate water.
Large pots/advanced trees: 1 mL of Biocast/L of pot size (i.e. 100 L pot needs 100 mL of Biocast) diluted with adequate water to saturate root area of plant.
Site maintenance/ post-planting care
Optimal
For use when you want to win awards, or deliver outstanding results in challenging conditions
Single application of Biocast to the whole site at a rate of 200-500 mL/m2 including all mulch and soil areas, foliage and stems. This will invigorate the site, activating composting and the creation of healthy soils, as well as supporting optimal plant health and good establishment.
Follow up foliar applications monthly at the ‘Standard’ rate.
Standard
For use to support the success of your project and more quickly achieve that ‘established garden’ feel
Two foliar applications of Biocast at the following rates:
- 10 mL per plant for small plants (5 L pot or below).
- 30-50 mL for large plants /established trees ensuring all foliage is adequately wet
- 5 L/ha for turf
- For small areas, apply at a dilution of 1:20 to the point of runoff.
